According
to the Manchester City Directories, the Gannams, Ganems, Tabakians, Abrahams lived
in Manchester at some time during this period. The postcards I have collected
are all from that general time period and reflect what our relatives would have
seen as they walked the streets of Manchester and/or traveled to Derry, as Grandpa
Karem Gannam did to purchase apples and resell them as mentioned in the Biography
of Karem Gannam by Anthony Gannam. |

According
to the Biography of Karem Gannam and Annie Abraham by Anthony Gannam,
Annie worked in the mills in Manchester. According to Karam
and Annies' Marriage Certificate, Karam's occupation is
"Amoskeag Foundry Opt." In researching the employment
records of Amoskeag Mills, I found records on Annie
Abraham, Gannem Abraham and
Anna Abraham. |
