Mrs.
Annie Abraham Gannam Funeral
arrangements are incomplete for Mrs. Annie Abraham Gannam, Fifty-third and Hopkins
streets who died yesterday morning at a local hospital after an illness of several
weeks.
Mrs. Gannam was the mother
of Staff Sergt. George K. Gannam Savannah's first victim of
World War II who was killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl
Harbor.
A
native of Elaman Sidon Lebanon, near Palestine, Mrs. Gannam is survived by her
husband, Karam Gannam; three sons, Anthony K. Gannam, Savannah; Nazar K. Gannam,
U.S. Navy, and Michael K. Gannam, U.S. Army Air Corps; a daughter Mrs. Mary Saraf,
Savannah; a brother Gannam A. Karam, Manchester, N.H. and nine grandchildren.
She was a communicant
of Sacred Heart Church. The body will be at the residence until
the time of the funeral. The albert Goette Funeral Home is in
charge.

Funeral
services for Mrs. Annie Abraham Gannam Fifty-third and Hopkins
streets who died Monday after an illness of several weeks, were
held yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the residence and
at 5:30 o'clock from Sacred Heart Church. Burial was in Bonaventure
Cemetery.

Mary Abraham Tabakian Mrs.
Mary Abraham Tabakian 323 West Forty-fourth street died at her residence yesterday
afternoon after a long illness. She was a native of Syria and had been living
in Savannah for the past 41 years. She
is survived by one son, George D. Tabakian; two grandchildren. There
will be a rosary service at 8 o'clock tonight at the Albert Goette Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning
at 9:30 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Bonaventure
Cemetery. Savannah

at 9:30 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery. A
rosary service was held last night at the Albert Goette Funeral Home. Active
pallbearers will be Anthony Gannam, Abraham Joseph, Simon Saba, Daminic Valmore
and Philip Saraf. Honorary pallbearers
will be Michael Gannam, Karem Gannam, Lazarus Markarian, Wing Jung, Ferris Rahal,
