Prayer
written by Anthony Gannam for the 1985 Family Reunion
O
Lord, our God, Almighty and Merciful Father, look upon this flock,
the descendants of Karam Gannam whose Matriarch is his daughter,
Mary, and bless them.
Bless
them and their spouses and offspring and let them prosper in thy
sight and in thy care.
Bless
all those of us who are unable to be here today and those who
are in communion with us. Let no dissention or contention divide
us or gossip or scandal bring bitterness or discord among us,
but let Thy love and our love for one another bind us and unite
us into a stronger family.
Help
us to overlook each other's failings and shortcomings and to see
each other's strength as part of us.
Bless
this food that each has offered and thou has given us - bless
it to our bodies and bless us who have given ourself to Thy service
and the service of each other.
We
ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Thy son,
Amen.
