1. Part of probate of the Will of John Upton, Benjamin's brother who managed the
sawmill in Uptonville after Ben died.These documents have been transcribed from
handwritten documents recorded in book L pages 281-284 in the Charlton
County Courthouse. There are ? marks where the words are not legible or did not
copy well. I have inserted notations (L281, etc.) within the text to indicate
