St. Patricks Catholic Church

Many of the Gildea children were baptized and later married at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Savannah.

This became Sacred Heart Catholic Church and grade school.


Convent St. Vincent de Paul circa 1908

Three generations of Saraf women have attended St. Vincents Academy, thus far, benefiting from the Sisters of Mercy who have taught us, some spanning the generations.

The Gannam family members were communicants of this church and the Saraf children attended the school. Mary Ann Saraf and Neil Fischer were married here September 22, 1951 and Steven Fischer and Gabriela Pahno were married there in 2000.
