Paid passage himself. Has $30. He is meeting his brother Kanem, Miola* (I can't read name) 513 Elm Street. [Note the same address found in the Manchester city directories] Other names of interest on the same passenger list include Mary Abraham going to meet her brother Milham [William] Abraham. *Could this be Maroon, or is it another brother?

Name/address nearest relative in country whence alien came: mother, John Mariam, El Man [Alman, Saida, Syria]. Final destination: Manchester, N.H. Going to uncle Abdallah Gannam, 16 Auburn St., Manchester, N. H. Good health, height: 5'3", dark complexion, hair: black, eyes: [?], Tatoos on right hand. Place of birth: Turkey, El Man [Alman, Saida].
The Detainee List shows that Hanny Abraham, her brother Gannim, sister Zihra, and cousin Adel, along with Hanna (John) Yousef (Joseph) Ganem and his sister Nimry were detained due to "LPC - Likely Public Charge." The Immigration Inspector, if he felt that the arriving passenger had either a mental or physical condition which would likely prevent the immigrant from finding employment in the U.S. would list the detained passenger as such. Hanny, her brother, sister and Adel were admitted 17 May 1909. Hanna and his sister were finally admitted on 20 May 1909.

He has been here before from 1902/1904 in Manchester NH. He is meeting his brother Karam Ghanem. 19 Cedar Street at Manchester. His residence is Elman, Syria. [19 Cedar same as in 1910 Manchester city directory].

In 1895 Fedah, Jacob, Joseph, Moleck, Makoul Ghanem came to the United States. They are merchants or son's. (I do not know if they are related but are included here in case anyone recognizes them.)

*These are all ships owned by the FRENCH LINE which picked up passengers from Beruit and either departed Cherbourg or Le Harve, France. George Saraf sailed on the Rochambeau which was also owned by the French Line.
