of Georgia, Chatham County, Court. Personally appeared, Mr. John F. Fischer an
Alien and subject of Emperor of Germany who, on his oath, makes the following
report and declaration, in terms of the Acts of Congress: "I, John F. Fischer
was born in Bremen aged now, 25 years, embarked at Bremen for the United States,
on the 15 day of September 1880 or thereabouts, in the Weser, Capt. _______ arrived
in the United States; to wit, at New York N.Y. about 17th day of September and
came to the city of Savannah, on the 1st day of October and expect to reside in
future at Savannah, Georgia. And it is bona-fide by intention to become a citizen
of the United States, and to renounce, forever, all allegiance and fidelity to
every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever; and particularly
to the Emperor of Germany whose subject I am." So help me God.
