Charles Frank Kastensmidt

Charles F. Kastensmidt Jr.

Charles (Charlie) F. Kastensmidt Jr. passed away on August 27, 2003. Charlie was born on September 29, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Charles and Leona Kastensmidt. Charlie graduated with a Bachelor and Masters of Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville in 1955 and 1956 respectively. After training and serving as a navigator-bombardier for the Air Force, he moved to Houston, Texas where he worked for Shell Oil Company for 37 years until his retirement in January 1993. Charlie was active in the Finance Council for his parishes of St. Francis Cabrini of Houston, and subsequently St. William of Round Rock for over 30 years. Charlie is survived by his wife, Antoinette, of over 44 years, five children and seven grandchildren; sister, Thecla Robison of Louisville, Kentucky; and brother Jack Kastensmidt of Louisville, Kentucky. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Williams Catholic Church, Attn: Mike Fitzner, 1000 McNeil Road; Round Rock, Texas 78681; or to Southern Care Hospice, 13729 Hwy. 183 No, Suite 1075, Austin, Texas 78750. A Rosary and visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 29 at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 30 at St. William Catholic Church, 1000 McNeil Road; Round Rock, Texas 78681.
