Program Knights of Pythias May 19th, 20th and 21st 1915 Savannah, Georgia The
program is quite large and the image to the left is 1/3 of a page featuring the
Ladies of the Teutonia Temple No. 12. Included are Mrs. Catherina Murken, Miss
Henrietta Fischer (married Henry Frederick Kuck and is daughter of John Fredrick
Fischer and Katherina Murken and aunt of Neil Fischer, Sr.), Miss Elsie Kuck (daughter
of Harry H. Kuck). Henrietta Fischer Russell was named after her father's sister. |

is the wife of Caston Henry Konemann. She is the sister of Martin Murken, Lena
Murken, Annie Murken (married John Edward Struck) and Anna Katherina Murken
(married John Frederick Fischer) (grandmother of Neil Fischer, Sr.) |

Fischer's obit states: "John F. Fischer, who has been prominently identified
for years with activities of local secret orders and the military died yesterday
at 5 a.m. at his residence, 611 Tattnall street..... He was a member of Franklin
Lodge No. 7 K. of P., Jemlah Temple No. 129, D.O.K.K., Pythian Sisters, and Daytona
Company, Uniform Rank, K. of P. The flag on the K.of P. building is at half mast
in honor of Mr. Fischer. " I don't know if grandpa is in this photo, but
he would have been 54 years old in 1915 when this program was produced. I have
identified one of the persons; the man reclining is Royal Vizer, Albert C. Oelschig. |

believe this could be John Henry Murken who was born 14 October 1862 and died
5 May 1924 who was married to Catherina Kuck on 27 September 1886. Family information

others in the Lodge were H. H. Geffken for whom Martin Murken (Anna Catherine
Murken Fischer's brother) worked at the time he signed up for military service
in WWI; Ed Struck who married Annie Murken (sister of Catherine Murken Fischer),
J. C Sipple and J. D. Siem who were pallbearers at Anna Catherine Murken Fischer's
funeral. "Pallbearers were F. Rankz, H. F. Kuck, Sr., F. Quante, J. Siems,
